Issued Zones:  All of Orange County … The Inland Empire … San Bernardino Mountains … Catalina Island …

Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a  Flood Advisory effective Tuesday …

Date:  9/14/15 at 11:45pm PT

Forecast: A complex storm system is moving through the area right now and cloud tops in IR satellite suggests developing activity southwest of Catalina Island.  The upper level jet is placing into position to enhance the tops of these clouds and as they cross Catalina Island they will produce heavier rainfall … on their way to OC and the Inland Empire this morning … northeast into the entire San Bernardino Mountain Range.

The low level tropical moisture content values suggests that even a yellow DBZ cell on radar will bring heavier rainfall … similar to a tropical type rain.

A Flood Advisory is issued here at Southern California Weather Force when rainfall rates are expected to be high, which can cause urban street flooding in spots and hydroplaning.

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.

Forecaster: KM
