Forecast: A west to east moving area of lift will move across the Ventura County region this afternoon, heading east through then and this evening for the Los Angeles/Orange County region as well.  This area of lift will bring brief periods of heavy rainfall … with the chance of isolated thunderstorms, given the upper divergence and instability remaining in the area through the period, into some of tonight.  Waterspout potential is there for the offshore regions …
