Issued Zones:  LA Valley/Coast … Northern half of OC … The Inland Empire …

Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a Weather Advisory effective now through later this evening …

Date:  12/11/15 at 7:10am PT

Forecast: The cold front has gone a bit south and this will gather some more moisture as it enters Los Angeles County through offshore … With this, stronger divergence profiles are suggesting rapid lifting along it and thus the potential for heavy rainfall (urban flooding) will happen today as it moves through.  Instability within the region will also make thunderstorm risks in the acceptable range and this advisory will cover any thunderstorms in the forecast.  The main area of ‘heavy rain’ will zoom through Southern LA County, Northern OC, and into the Inland Empire from there.

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.

Forecaster: KM
