Las Vegas Weather Force has upgraded from a weather advisory to a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, for the following zones;
Issued Zones: Clark County – Las Vegas, Nevada
Date Issued: July 3rd, 2025 at 7:00am PDT
Discussion: Clear skies across the watch area this morning, which indicates developing instability. Cap levels in the mid-levels are eroding, which means we will see the developing cumulus clouds over the Mt. Charleston regions soon. Storms will full develop between the 10-11am hour over those regions. With the backside of the upper-level low in the region, a west to east flow off the mountains will bring this, and the outflow boundaries across the watch area, aiming the Las Vegas Metro this afternoon. Issues with it will be damaging winds, large hail in spots, heavy downpours, dust storms for low visibility, and lightning. The system will vacate over Eastern Clark County over the evening hours and the watch will be expired …
