Forecast: A potent but small area of upper divergence is moving across the Channel Islands and Catalina Island regions at this hour and it’ll continue through early this morning sunrise … This area will spread eastward into Orange County for the risk of heavy rainfall at times along with a chance of thunderstorms … east into Temecula through the morning.  Small hail could accompany the storms at times ..
