Forecast: The Placerita Fire is burning out of control ,already approaching 1000 acres in just a short period of time.  The general movement of the fire is east-northeast along Highway 14.  The low/mid level winds are suggesting that the smoke plume will move in the general direction of Acton and the Antelope Valley.  Winds weak out of the northeast of night will set up a strong inversion layer through today and Monday and keep the smoke in the warning area at the surface.

Avoid exercising outdoors when pollution levels are high. When the air is bad, walk indoors in a shopping mall or gym or use an exercise machine. Limit the amount of time your child spends playing outdoors if the air quality is unhealthy. Always avoid exercising near high-traffic areas.
