Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a Flood Advisory effective now through Sunday …

Date:  5/6/17 at 8:40am PT

Forecast: A strong cutoff system is moving into the forecast area.  Scattered showers will begin this afternoon and increase in coverage through the evening and overnight.  The flow is out of the west-northwest … and thus with the upper dynamics this area will have heavy rainfall extending then into Sunday.

All of the Western half of San Diego County, including the Mountains will have over 1-2″ of rainfall in this event … some areas along I-15 and I-5 in South or Central County seeing over 3″ of rainfall.   This is a flood advisory … however with the risk of thunder in the area … it could be upgraded.. but thunder is possible.  Given it is a cold core low …

waterspouts land-falling as small tornadoes are also possible …

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.
