Forecast: A swinger system will move through the area today and provide a round of moderate to sometimes heavier showers … in a quick frontal zone.
With stronger upper divergence, instability, and lift, this system will produce the risk of thunderstorms as well. The system will be out of here overnight on Friday. The cut-off of the thunderstorm risk will be at the LA/OC borders where south and eastward should remain in only just rain. Snow level in the Ventura/Kern Mountains will be around 5,500 to 6,000 FT so no snowfall at most pass levels.
