[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Issued Zones: Southern California …
Site: SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a Special Weather Statement effective Today through Friday … This is a members only micro-climate alert.
Date: 4/7/16 at 3:55pm PT
Forecast: A cutoff low is int he area and precipitation has been reported as far north as Los Angeles County as of yet. This cutoff low is expected to continue moving slowly toward the forecast area through tonight.
Thinking at the moment that the main swath of dynamics overnight into Friday morning will be arcing along the SD/RIV/SBD Mountains and IE areas west to OC/LA, heading northwest from there through the Kern/LA Mountain/Desert areas and finally curving west into the Kern/SLO/SBA Valley areas.
Cloud cover is hampering the instability, even in the elevated levels, with the exception of the Imperial County and Eastern Riverside County zones where the Flood Watch will remain through Friday incase thunderstorms form in those areas.
Low level moisture is on the increase through this evening into Friday morning for all metro zones and this is about where the rain will get a bit heavier as more drops reach the ground without evaporation, or virga.
Many ‘apps’ have 5 days of rainfall and they are tricking you into believing its a 5-day heavy rain event when it isn’t. Many of this will be hit and miss, with the exception of the weekend storm which seems to be aiming toward the metro areas for a classic ‘rain season pattern’.
Please remember to check the member section through the event for updated rainfall maps and other things that may be needed.
10 mile rule: These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for. You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.
