SCWF Tornado Watch Issued for Monday into Tuesday for Metro Southern California

Southern California Weather Force has issued a Tornado Watch, effective Monday into Tuesday for the following zones;

Zones Affected: San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego County, including the Inland Empire.

Discussion: A powerful series of storms will move in, starting tonight west of Los Angeles and quickly moving eastward through the watch area. Thunderstorms will be likely with it, so it won’t be just a frontal zone with low-level shear dynamics. This line of storms will mean business. Damaging winds through Monday’s passage, thunderstorms, hail, flooding, the works will be available to you. A secondary round through the day Monday after the main front passes will resume the watch, and another through the night into Tuesday.

If you are in the mountains with thundersnow and do not want to get stuck for days, leave now …
