Forecast: A very large trough of low pressure will dip down into the Southern California region on Sunday and with the southern base being directly overhead through then, Sunday night, and in Monday … wind gusts will be extremely strong.
The strongest winds will clock in the Eastern slopes of the Mountains at over 75 mph with an average wind gusts in the entire regional alert being 35 to 55 mph … Damaging is likely along with blowing dust.
In addition to the winds, there is a good chance at snowfall in all mountain zones with a snow-level below 2,000 FT on Monday. Additional products will be issued when needed …
