After teasing us all day with sun and clouds up here in Big Bear (92315), and some light rain this morning, the main part of the system arrived around 4pm. It started with a light rain and developed into moderate rain as we headed out to dinner. Upon leaving the restaurant it was definitely a moderate rain, and by the time we went 3 blocks to get some ice cream we were running through heavy rain and jumping good sized puddles. It continued heavy as we drove back to the house just before 8pm, and abruptly stopped as we arrived. As I write this we have had continuous moderate to heavy rain. A few rumbles of thunder this morning, but none yet tonight (fingers crossed). Will report anything new as it comes up.
