Southern California Weather Force has issued a Wind Alert for the following zones;
Zones Affected: High Desert … Coachella Valley … San Diego Desert … Imperial Valley … Morongo Basin … Tehachapi … Big Bear … Las Vegas …
Discussion: A trough of low pressure that will bring showers and thunderstorms to the Pacific Northwest on Friday and Saturday will bring a rush of westerly winds on the southern end of it. These winds, and attentive colder air, will feel more like Fall or Spring for this time of year. Wind gusts over 35-60 mph will be likely within the forecast region’s alert zone.
This will be short-lived, as we will heat right back up to normal summer-time temperatures across the region once again through this next week and beyond.
