Forecast: A narrow band of stronger instability will exist in these areas today and convective temperature could be met for shower/thunderstorm activity to develop and/or drift over or near your location today. The best areas within this advisory zone is the LA Mountains, southwest through the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valley out of Acton … But regardless the entire area could see activity nearby.
Storms will also form in Northern San Diego County and drift westward, affecting the Santa Ana Mountains and possibly west of them into some of the valley/basin zones … including the Southern OC Coast of San Clemente. Furthermore, any storms forming in the Ventura Mountains could easily drift southwest into the Northern Ventura County Valley zones … Mainly From Ojai, Filmore, and Piru …
Those of you that DO NOT get activity, this advisory also states that temperatures will be well above average as they have been and the heatwave continues … with the San Gabriel Valley seeing 106-107F today!
