Issued Zones:  Western half of San Diego County …

Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a Special Weather Statement effective Monday and especially Tuesday …

Date:  10/18/15 at 9:20pm PT

Forecast: While a sagging front for activity is possible through tomorrow evening/night … Tuesday is looking to be interesting for the Western San Diego County forecast zones.  After the upper low shifts southeast of the forecast area, a strong northeast flow would result in the mid/upper levels and this would work with some instability in the area for a chance the San Diego Mountains have thunderstorm activity … and with the flow being strong … these could drift toward the metro areas of the valley/coastal zones.

The best area for this would be along the 15 Escondido Southward with least in Oceanside due to the flow needing to be due east to west to impact you more.

Travel along I-8 through the Alpine area may be impacted with flooding under the strongest cells … be aware …

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.

Forecaster: KM
