Issued Zones:  LA Metro/Coast/Valley/Basin … Eastern Ventura County … Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Bernardino Mountains … All High Desert/Morongo Basin zones … Coachella Valley … San Diego Desert …

Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a High Wind Watch effective now for Sunday evening through Monday evening …

Date:  11/13/15 at 9:35pm PT

Forecast: A very powerful and dry upper level trough with an associated strong upper/mid/low jet will plow through the region Sunday evening through Monday evening, maximizing Monday morning … These winds will gust from 45-60 mph in the favored locations and a damaging wind event is possible in some High Desert, Eastern Mountain Slope, Morongo Basin, and the I-5 Corridor/Santa Clarita/San Fernando Valley zones, south to the LA Coast/Basin areas …

These winds will be damaging, especially in the populated San Fernando Valley forecast region …

The winds will be powered by a strong colder air advection event which does double the power of the low level jet speeds …

Be extremely careful out there during this event …

This watch will upgrade to warning on Sunday morning …

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.

Forecaster: KM
