Issued Zones:  The Inland Empire … Santa Ana Mountains/Foothills, into Mission Viejo to the Southern OC Coast …  Los Angeles Upper Valleys … Eastern Ventura Valleys … Malibu … Acton … San Bernardino Mountains …

Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a Santa Ana Wind Advisory effective now through Tuesday …

Date:  11/16/15 at 9:00pm PT

Forecast: The winds are turning northerly now with some north-northeast component and this is why the winds are surfacing in some parts of the Inland Empire, increasing over Big Bear Lake.  This is not a typical Santa Ana Wind Pattern so most areas of the Inland Empire from Lake Elsinore/Perris/ Moreno Valley will see these overnight tonight into tomorrow morning … changing to nominal zones with Riv/Corona/Norco/Mira Loma/Ontario/Fontana increasing over the day …

Big Bear Lake will also see an increase in gusty winds overnight tonight with the stronger mid-level jet moving over.

This even has upper support so once again the San Fernando / Santa Clarita Valley zones, southwest into the Eastern VT County areas and south into Malibu will see the winds.  Northern San Fernando Valley zone will see gusty winds while south of it will see far less … the zone must be split in the coming updates on the site to account for this … and it will be on the main map as it is in the app/email alert system.

Wind gusts will be 30-45 mph with stronger gusts in only favored pass locations, mainly mountain slopes and also the Orange County Southwest Foothill areas surrounding Irvine Lake and Silverado …

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.

Forecaster: KM
