[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Issued Zones:  Inland Empire … LA Upper Valleys … Ventura County … Gorman Pass and surrounding … Kern Mountains … Riverside/San Diego Mountain/Foothill zones … Escondido … Colorado River Valley areas into the CA/NV stateline … Morongo Valley / Yucca Valley … Santa Ana Mountain/Foothill zones into the OC Basin/Coast, excluding northwest county … Malibu … Offshore into the Channel Islands … San Bernardino Mountain Rim … Los Angeles Mountains Acton …

Site: has issued a Santa Ana Wind Warning effective Friday and Saturday … A fire hazard has been introduced, which pushes this to a warning.

Date:  11/19/15 at 6:55pm PT

Forecast: A system missing to the northeast will generate very strong offshore gradients into the zones listed above starting Friday … maximizing Friday night into Saturday morning.  These winds will be 30-45 mph in gusts for most areas … however some zones will be over that 50+ mph mark and damaging winds are likely in some OC Foothill zones, Devore/Fontana, and some VT/LA Valley areas.

This will be the strongest Santa Ana Wind directional pattern event this season …

The winds will wan down through the afternoon/evening on Saturday …

Because of the speed of the winds, warmer low level atmosphere, and dry air in the area … these will produce a fire hazard … be on the lookout … report anything …

Sailing is NOT recommended during these days behind Catalina Island and especially from Ventura/Malibu to the Channel Islands … DO NOT ATTEMPT it …
