Issued Zones:  All Coastal/Bight Regions

Site:  SouthernCaliforniaWeatherForce.com has issued a High Surf Warning effective now for Friday …

Date:  12/8/15 at 7:45am PT

Forecast: A powerful storm hitting the Pacific Northwest down into NOrthern California will bring a strong west-northwest swell into the region on Friday.  The wave heights are expected to be 15-20 FT for the San Luis Obispo and Vandenberg Coastlines … with 6-10 FT waves expected for the rest of the coastal zones from VT/LA/OC/SD County … with subsiding heights through the day on Saturday.

Dangerous rip current conditions will also be likely … the highest waves will be in San Diego County and any ‘west facing’ beaches WITH 1 FT OR HIGHER.

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.

Forecaster: KM
