Forecast: A powerful storm is entering the region and this means a strong surface low developing north of the region will provide strong southerly winds off the mountains.  Winds like this would be 40-50 mph with gusts to 70+ mph being possible.  This would make it a damaging wind event, especially near the adjacent desert slopes of the LA/SBD Mountains …  Be advised .. .this will be damaging in spots.
