Forecast: An upper level low causing the rainfall today is moving closer to the area … out of the tropics. The reasoning for the rainfall today is because of the deeper-southerly flow associated with the system and this will increase this evening and overnight tonight, into Thursday morning.
Over an inch of rain is possible in many of these locations … but marginally I’ll go 0.5 to 1.0″ of rainfall … with the most near Malibu …
