Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective now through this evening …

Date:  9/8/17 at 10:25am PT

Forecast: An upper level low developing west of the area will bring strong upper divergence over the Low Deserts this afternoon/evening.  Large hail, gusty winds, flooding, dust storms, and even a risk of a tornado will be possible with these storms in this setup.   It happens again on Saturday so a renewed watch may be issued then… 

The best concentration of storms will be in the Eastern Imperial County to Blythe areas …
