Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Dense Fog Advisory effective tonight into Friday morning …

Date:  1/18/18 at 12:40pm PT

Forecast: Calm winds and high humidity levels at the surface brought dense fog to the Kern County Valley and San Diego County Coast this morning.  This is expected yet again tonight and through Friday morning with visibility near zero.

In addition to those areas, have added the Orange County zones, north to the Los Angeles Coast/Basin areas as far as the San Gabriel Valley, including Pasadena.  SCWF visibility model shows a large area of dense fog in the metros as surface humidity levels elevated ahead of the frontal zone, with southerly flow.

Traveling from LAX, John Wayne, or Long Beach airports may have delays due to the thick fog.

Traveling in this region must be met with caution …
