Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective now …

Date:  9/30/18 at 10:50am PT

Forecast:  surge in tropical moisture from Hurricane ROSA is coming into the area starting this afternoon/evening. 

This surge will be accompanied by instability and thus with lifting on the arm-band of the hurricane itself.. will pop the risk of thunderstorms.  Some thunderstorms will contain gusty winds and brief heavy downpours. 

The most likely zones will be in the Eastern RIV Deserts along I-10 and the Central/Eastern Imperial County zones, including Glamis and along I-8 …
