Severe Thunderstorm Watch

by
130Shares

Issued Zones:  Colorado River Valley zones of Imperial, Riverside, and San Bernardino County.

Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective now through Monday morning …

Date:  9/1/19 at 3:50pm PT

Forecast: An impulse developing severe thunderstorms in the Phoenix Metro areas today will surge westward tonight.  This will bring a strong outflow boundary across the Colorado River Valley through tonight and early Monday morning.

The outflow from this will work with elevated instability and thus the risk of thunderstorms producing frequent lightning, hail, high winds, and heavy rain will be possible.

Storm probability does look to be the highest through the Blythe and Desert Center forecast areas, north to Lake Havasu with the better PVA in the mid-levels.
