Date:  1/31/20 at 12:20pm PT

Forecast:  A very widespread wind event is about to hit most of Southern California in what is called a Northwest Wind Event.  Northwest Wind Events have the strongest winds in a widespread region.  This will bring over 60+ mph winds to the bight region along with an impressive 20-25 foot wave event on Sunday, maximizing overnight, and going into some of Monday as well.  This is an extremely dangerous ocean event and even experienced boaters need to stay out of the bight then.
