Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Flood Advisory effective now for tonight into Monday …

Date:  2/9/20 at 6:30am PT

Forecast:  A very compact upper level low will come down into the area starting Sunday night.  As the night moves along, the low dropping in will bring a sharp upper lifting profile into the region and the flow around the northeast side of the system will be active.

This will pop up convective showers and these will produce a moderate flood risk with advisory level flooding expected under the stronger cells.  With the stronger cells and some instability,  thunderstorm activity will be possible as well. 

Advisory level flooding will cease at 8am in the morning on Tuesday with the low moving south of the area.  Use the SCWF Flood Risk Model and SCWF Rainfall Forecast Model below to determine your risk in this advisory area …
