Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Winter Weather Watch effective Wednesday into Thursday …

Date:  3/23/20 at 4:15pm PT

Forecast: An inside slider will hit the Kern County Mountains starting Wednesday,  peaking Wednesday overnight and into some of Thursday.  The snow-level with this will be 3,500-4,000 FT and this is low enough to affect the I-5 corridor.  With increased northwest flow, we should see a snow-event that may require a shutdown and/or police escorts.  

At the time, amounts will be assessed, but a Winter Weather Watch means that conditions are becoming favorable for snowfall in the zoned region …
