Thunderstorm Watch

167Shares

Issued Zones:  North/East Inland Empire … San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego County Mountains … The High Desert and Morongo Basin, including JTNP

Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective now through this evening …

Date:  8/15/20 at 8:55am PT

Forecast:  Monsoon moisture is streaming across the region as noted by the mid/upper level clouds today and as these move off, instability will develop today and bring an upswing in shower or thunderstorm activity.  Given the flow is from the south-southeast, some of the Northeast/Eastern Inland Empire may get some activity in the shaded areas above …

Some of these may be beneficial for the fires with stronger downpours at times, other areas may see additional fires due to lightning.

NOTE: I am NOT allowing new sign-ups paying for the SCWF alert system at this time. I am redoing the system over the Summer and offering free service till October 1st. This is because this Summer is either close… or keep open come the next storm season due to a post COVID-19 economy.
