The most powerful October ‘winter storm’ since 1991 is hitting the Southern Plains today through Tuesday.  The projection here at National Weather Force inside is brief, but it will show you the snow, ice, and rainfall (liquid precipitation) forecast for this event.  Keep in mind the ‘rain’ model is for liquid precipitation so if you have snow or ice in the forecast on my models you will see that instead.  This is an ICE STORM WARNING for parts of Texas and Oklahoma with a Winter Storm Warning out through New Mexico.  The early issued Ice Storm Watch here at National Weather Force is now upgraded to the warning.  Read below for the forecast snow, ice, and rain models –
