Thunderstorm Watch

0Shares

Issued Zones:  Las Vegas Metro … Northeast San Bernardino County, including Baker …

Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective this evening into half of the night …

Date:  7/11/21 at 9:00am PT

Forecast: A ridge of high pressure will be just west of Death Valley today where temperatures will exceed 130F.  This ridge will have a due north to south flow over the watch area and any storms forming within the eastern periphery will dive down into the Las Vegas forecast areas and further into the night for the Northeast San Bernardino County Desert zones.

Travel along I-15 must be met with caution.  Some of these storms may push outflow boundaries that near severe thunderstorm wind limits.

Hail should be around a half inch in diameter for the most part, but any severity will come from strong outflow winds.  Outflow winds can bring visibility down due to blowing dust.
