Severe Weather Statement

Issued Zones:  Far Eastern Riverside and San Bernardino County Deserts …

Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Severe Weather Statement effective Friday …

Date:  9/16/21 at 10:05 am PT

Forecast: An upper level low will be west of the forecast area on FRIDAY… while most of the Southern California area will remain under the marine layer for the metros, we will see a combination of upper-lift and mid-level moisture out of the south for the Eastern Desert areas, which is far east of Palm Springs or any of the local mountains.

It could be considered more of a rural or even deserted area that will not impact a larger population, but it will impact areas near Desert Center, and especially travel along I-40 between Ludlow and Needles.

Wind gusts from these higher-based storms will be enough for strong micro-bursts that will tip high-profile vehicles over.

10 mile rule:  These alerts issued on this site means that within your zone and 10 miles from you will see the event forecast for.  You may or may not see the event but it means you are in the zone or 10 miles from where someone will.
