LONG RANGE WEATHER ADVISORY: Arctic Jet Stream to Dip into Southwest Wednesday into the Weekend; Cold Storms

0Shares

Southern California Weather Force has issued a Long-Range Weather Advisory for the event that the arctic jet stream will dip into the Southern California area between January 3rd and the weekend of January 6th.

As we move through the start of Winter, the upper-level blocking ridge south of Alaska will develop.  This will bring two cold systems down into the forecast area, one mid-end week and the other the weekend of January 6th.

This advisory is to allow you to know what is to come and forecasts for such will officially be updated as these systems near here at Southern California Weather Force.

Such systems are the type to bring lower elevation and pass level snowfall, which would be the first two systems to bring a good amount of snow to the local mountains as well.  These will also make cold days and freezing nights for many locations as the air-mass settles.
