Weather Advisory

Issued Zones:  Los Angeles and Kern Deserts … Metro High Desert … I-15 from Barstow to the state-line …

Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Weather Advisory …

Date:  2/12/18 at 9:00am PT

When: This afternoon through evening …

Forecast: Upper divergence increases over the region with the storm system entering the region today, with this afternoon and evening becoming slightly unstable for convective activity to form over the Antelope Valley west to near the Western LA Mountain zones.

The convergence zone will stretch from there to Barstow, heading northeast with time.  Additional showers along the Victorville convergence boundary will also be likely later.

Instability parameters are not too impressive … but if divergence is strong enough I cannot rule out some thunder chances from the Antelope Valley to Barstow where the strongest convergence will be.
