Forecast: A powerful Alaskan storm is producing strong lifting already over Taft and this will continue through today .. strengthening as you move east into the Eastern Kern Valley areas. As this moves and digs southeast … areas in the LA Deserts and Northern Los Angeles Basin/Valley areas / SCV / will be on the Western edge of the development zone.
This lifting could be just enough to produce thunderstorms in the area … along with brief heavy rainfall … Not much else to say about it … but it’ll form quickly soon.
