Issued Zones:  Channel Islands … Santa Barbara Coast … Ventura Coast and Western Basin …

Site:  Southern California Weather Force has issued a Severe Weather Statement for monitoring upgrade to Tornado Watch for Tuesday …

Date:  3/9/20 at 10:00am PT

Forecast: A strong Pacific Storm will hit the area on Tuesday.  The earlier issued Flood Watch (Click Here) is still valid for this area, however the upgrade to a Severe Weather Statement is now official.  There is some backing southeast flow over this area and thunderstorm dynamics on your Tuesday.

Storms moving through this area will be in an unstable and sheared environment for strong waterspouts and even small tornadoes.

A Severe Weather Statement means that monitoring has begun for upgrade to Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado Watch in the affected area, which in this case it is a Tornado Watch possibility here at Southern California Weather Force.
